Do you know what a tomato plant smells like? I feel like it's one of those IYKYK things. I personally love the scent! The Mrs Meyers scent is a pretty darn close match!

Mrs. Meyers Basil Cleaning Concentrate

I use this concentrate for everything! It works great on floors and as a multipurpose spray. I find it's a really economical way to buy it too.

Now Liquid Coconut Oil

A little goes a long way, and I finally used up my last bottle. We use this for a variety of things, including removing make up. Blake also uses it in his hair (the man has the driest hair of any human I've ever met).

Sponges

No explanation needed, these are just great.

Tub and Tile Concentrate

I have loved this concentrate for years! You mix one concentrate bottle with water in a spray bottle. Works great for maintenance cleaning.

Grab Green Garbage Disposal Pods

These are so good! The scent is awesome and it really helps keep your disposal clean.

My Free Gifts:

Also pictured are a ton of free samples! Really impressed with the Grab Green Laundry Pods and the Upcircle facial toner

Grove Co Haul - July 2025

Wednesday, July 30, 2025

If you are doing any Amazon shopping this week, I wanted to share a few things that we've purchased recently! There will also be a few items that we've had for ages that are worth mentioning again!

Living Room

We've done a little updating in here in the last month, and I'm just so happy with the overall look. We changed out our curtains, added a few textiles and some new ottomans.

Pillow Covers

I originally bought these for our bedroom, but loved how they coordinated with the curtains instead.

Pillow Inserts

My favorite way to freshen up decor is by swapping out pillow covers. We've had these inserts for years, and it's great to just recover them once in a while.

Throw Blanket

Bookmark this as an excellent gift for just about anyone! We went with the dark green color, but it comes in so many. I think this makes a great cozy movie watching throw, but would look awesome as bedding too.

Ottoman

This is not an Amazon find, but rather a Target score. It's an honorable mention though because I loveeeee them! We purchased 2 to replace the 1 awkward sized one we had before. Such good quality! I almost couldn't decide between the two colors - but went with the cream. We definitely scotch-guarded them right away.

My aunt bought me this cute little pug planter and I just love it.

Curtains

These curtains are everything!! I'm so pleased with them. While I liked the color/fabric of the previous curtains we had - they were too short and always had been. These come in so many different lengths and colors. The price is stellar!! I'd actually like to buy a second set for our bedroom, but not positive I want to give up the black out curtains in there.

Plant Stand

Recently, I moved all our house plants from upstairs to downstairs - just so I could see them more often. I really love the touch of green in new places.

Bedroom

Our bedroom got a little makeover when I moved my desk from one side to the other. It really opened things up. I also really love being able to look out of the window instead of the wall.

Fresh Pillows - Down Alternative & Foam

What's with getting to your mid thirties and suddenly having neck problems because of your pillow?? We bought two different kinds of pillows to test and ended up liking them for different reasons. The down alternative are SO soft and comfy. I like a little more support though, so we also got these foam pillows and they are excellent. I'm a side sleeper, so I find myself using both of these depending on which position I end up in. No more sore necks and that's a win.

Quilt Set

I layered a plain white duvet with this navy blue quilt set. It's very lightweight and ideal for summer. I tried just using it as our main bedding, but pug hair and this navy color do not mix well. (Don't ask me why I thought it'd be fine!) So, as long as you don't have blonde dogs that sleep in your bed, you'll love it. 😂

Sheet Set

YA'LL. This sheet set is incredibly good, and oh so affordable. I will continue to buy these anytime we need sheets. I went with the pin stripe gray color, but the variety of options is awesome. These are very soft, and breathable. Blake is thrilled that they are deep pocket! That's his pet peeve. Easily a 10/10.

Pillow Cases

You'll laugh at me, but before I bought the above set of sheets I thought I was buying Brooklinen sheets. I laughed at myself when I opened the package to find I had just ordered pillow cases. The price is crazyyyy. But, they are pretty great, and have washed beautifully.

Mattress

An oldie but goodie! I bought this on Prime day about 5 years ago, and it's been the BEST mattress we've ever owned. We loved it so much we bought a queen size for the guest room as well. I know it's hard to buy a mattress online without testing it - but you can trust me, this is a great one.

Guest Room

I rearranged our guest room to accommodate the extra side table I moved out of our room. I think our guests will appreciate that extra surface area.

Luggage Rack

We have had a lot of overnight guests this year, so I wanted to make sure their stays were as comfortable as possible. I like that this luggage rack easily fits in the closet, and has a few cubbies for their shoes or other items.

Hanging Storage

Because this room doesn't have any kind of dresser, I wanted my guests to be able to unpack at least a little. This hanging cubby organizer helps out a lot!

Around The House

Here are a few more random items from Amazon we've been loving!

Diffuser

This is one of my all time favorite diffusers! It's beautiful and easy to use. I love the way the warm light glows under the ceramic cover. There is also a candle flickering setting that looks really cool in the evenings.

Santal Oil Blend

Get this oil blend if you want your home to smell like a luxury hotel or a spa. It's a bit masculine and warm - just luxurious! A little goes a long way too, you just need a drop or two to make a big impact.
File this under something kinda boring, but something also makes your life so much nicer! We upgraded from our old broken plastic baskets to these really great foldable ones. I've hung them on a command hook right next to the dryer and they take up virtually no space. Comes as a set of two!
Allow me to gush about our barstools once again. We purchased some cheap, but nice enough, barstools when we first moved in - knowing we'd upgrade one day. We just could never agree on what to get!! Finally, this spring we settled on these, and saved up a gift card or two to get them. They have been AWESOME. Totally worth every penny, and we are so grateful for the upgrade every time we sit down.

InstaPot Frother

This was an anniversary gift from my cousin, and we have used it every single day! It's such a treat to add cold foam to our favorite cold brew recipe. We loved it so much, we bought one for my in-laws and they are just as obsessed.

Coldbrew Maker

Another gift we have quite literally used every single day, is this coldbrew maker! It's SO easy, and we always have coffee in the fridge!

Now that I've had this Bissell Crosswave for 3 months, I can safely say I love it! Our floors seriously feel SO clean after using it. It's so convenient to be able to mop and vacuum at the same time. The only con is that you do have to take it apart to clean it out after each use. You should see the gray water that comes out!!

Reading Lawn Chair

I use this chair so much! It's foldable, so easy to pack up to take to the beach. The best feature of course, is the hole for your face and arms that allow you read upside down. Such a great invention!

Tablet Holder

Originally, I purchased this for a work event - but I use it at home all the time! It can hold your phone in portrait or tablet. So, perfect as an extended screen, or as a portable stand. Think, cooking in the kitchen while your tablet displays the recipe...or my favorite, a TV for the bath!

MegaBabe

This all started with a hunt for an aluminum free deodorant. I tried one or two before I found the Megababe Smoothie Deo, and fell in love. This is a coconut lime scent, and it really works. I might have to reapply if I'm doing some serious working out. Plus, the difference in the puffiness of my armpits is very noticeable - I had no idea antiperspirant was causing that.

That led me to want to try some other Megababe products. I'm obsessed! There is the Thigh Rescue anti-chaff stick which is awesome for running (or dress wearing). And I recently started using the roll on Apres Shave gel which prevents ingrowns and helps with razor burn. I think it really makes a difference.

Muse Apothecary

Ya'll. This scent is out of this world! It smells like vacation. I have the Cabana hand soap and room spray in our half bathroom. But, the Sea Salt scent is just as wonderful and I have that in our guest bathroom. I never want to run out!

I purchased these through Grove Co. and right now they are offering the room spray as a free gift.

Elastic Apple Watch Band

I have struggled with watch bands forever. My wrists are just really small, so I find that bands rarely adjust properly. This totally solves that for me! It's elastic, and just the right amount of stretch. Plus, the checkerboard pattern is so fun!

New Barstools!

Blake and I have been discussing new bar stools for a year or more. When we moved in to our current place, we bought some cool, but cheap bar stools just to have a place to sit. The look was great, but the comfort was not. We knew we wanted to upgrade, but we could not agree on what we wanted. Well, we found the perfect ones at West Elm but they were like $600 per stool, and just could not justify that.

Anyway, long story long, we ended up finally agreeing on these! I had a gift card and we waited for a sale and were able to get these stools for a palatable price. They fit our space perfectly, and are SO much more comfortable.

And because we were worried about stains, I bought this stain repellent spray and it works awesome.

Mop Vacuum Combo

GAME CHANGER. I bought this Bissell Crosswave and have been floored (pun intended) with the results. It's awesome! It vacuums and mops at the same time. You would not believe what the dirty water looks like when you are done. Love, love, love this thing.

The only con is that you have to really clean it out when you are finished. Dirt and water are obviously not the best combo. But, it doesn't take too long and the results are worth that extra clean up.

The cleaning solution that comes with it is really good, but I've also used regular ole Pinesol in it and that works too.

Beach Chair

We recently spent a week at the beach, and my sister in law had this chair. I was so jealous of her being able to read upside down - I immediately ordered one for myself! It's comfy, and the face hole thing is just genius.

Random Recent Purchases

Tuesday, April 29, 2025

Every month or two I do an order with Grove, my go-to for more natural home/personal products. I started ordering from Grove way back when, and have been sharing my hauls ever since! Because we used to live in a small town, this was the best way for me to get the products I wanted with limited options nearby.

My shopping habits have evolved somewhat, but I still love my Grove boxes! You can use my link to sign up and get 30% off your first order. Plus! If you are new you can use Rakuten for even more cash back. Here's what I got in December:

The Usuals:

Scrub Brush Head Replacements

I've had this scrub brush forever, and it's so nice to be able to replace the head when it gets gross.

Grove Co Cleaning Concentrates

These are great cleaners for maintenance, when you aren't deep cleaning. For example, I keep a set in our guest bathroom for quick cleanings between guests. That bathroom doesn't get abused quite like our primary bath. Grove had a serious Cyber week sale on these, and each bottle was like a buck. Perfect time to stock up.

Grove Co Lemon Essential Oil

Even though I just stocked up on my essential oils, I forgot to get lemon! It's a favorite for the kitchen. So when I saw it was very discounted for Cyber week, I went for it.

Sea Salt Room Spray

You may remember this from last month's haul! It was SO good, I just needed another one for downstairs. I love spritzing it on all our pillows, and living room textiles.

Ecloth Set for Stainless

This will be my second time purchasing this set! I wanted to have 2, one to wash and one to have on hand. All you do is add water. I specifically like the scrubbing cloth, it works really well to clean off any build up. Then I polish it off once it dries.

New To Me:

Burts Bees Gift Set

This was just a good price, and I thought it would nice to have a few of these things in our guest room. (We are about to have a lot of company this month and next.) Plus you can never have too many lip balms!

Grove Travel Pouch

Again, another really good sale price. I need a new make up bag, so I'm thinking of using this for that. Either way, it'll make a great addition to our travel supplies.

Kitsch Sleeping Scrunchies

In an effort to be nice to my hair at night, I'm trying out these sleeping scrunchies! They are made of satin, and are meant to sleep in. Cute colors too!

Kitsch Nylon Hair Ties

Where do these things go?? My stash got depleted so I ordered these hair elastics. Thick hair girlies, if you know, you know. The nylon hair ties are excellent!

Rooted Vitamin C Serum

I have tried Vitamin C serums before, but I'm not sure if I have given Rooted a go. My skin has been quite dull now that summer is over, so I'm hoping this will help.

Samples:

In this order, I also got the Upcircle serum and the good juju laundry detergent sheets

December Grove Haul

Monday, December 16, 2024

Revive is an awesome way to get high quality essential oils without doing the MLM thing. I share a lot of my oily posts here. It was time for a restock, and Revive was doing a really good black friday sale, so here we are!

Here's What I Got:

Old Faithfuls:
Lavender - My all time favorite. Lavender is just so good. It's relaxing, fresh, and clean. I never want to run out.

Rosemary - Rosemary is good as it gets. I love to diffuse rosemary with peppermint especially. It's a stronger oil, so just a few drops and it lasts forever.

Citrus Delight - This one you guys! It's citrus with a bit of vanilla, so think creamsicle.

Pumpkin Pie - If you only buy one oil from Revive, make it Pumpkin Pie. It's fantastic and smells just like it should.

Grapefruit - Mmmm. Grapefruit is such a simple scent, but so fresh and good.

Lemongrass - For a bright, invigorating citrus - go with lemongrass.

New To Me:
PSL - Pumpkin Spice Latte! This is like pumpkin pie, but with a drop or two of their coffee oil. Great for the fall, especially in the morning.

Cinnamon Sugar - Yummmm! Last year Revive did cinnamon roll, and I was so sad to not see it come back. But this fills that spot just fine! Sweet and spicey.

Christmas Morning - The description of this just sounded too good not to try. It's spicey with a bit of clove and cinnamon but clearly has a birch woodsy tone to it too. Love it for winter.

Sand & Sun - I don't know why I got this one 😂. The main oil is ylang ylang, which I basically hate. But, something about this works for me. It was too strong just sniffing the bottle, but diffused it works. It reminds me of being in a hotel lobby in a tropical location.

Bergamot Mint - Someone in the reviews convinced me to try this when they said it had earl grey vibes. That's my favorite tea, so I figured I'd try it. I don't think that's what I get from this one, but I still like it! Fresh with just a touch of citrus.

Marble Display - This was deeply discounted so I gave it a go! It's an awesome display for 3 oil bottles. Right now it's next to my kitchen diffuser, but I think I'll move it to my office.

I have a referral code, but honestly their sale prices usually get you more of a discount!

I recently shared this diffuser in an Amazon Purchases post, and I just have to keep raving about it. It might be my favorite diffuser I've ever owned. The light is just lovely. It's got the coolest candle flicker effect.

Revive Essential Oil Haul

One | Board Games

Our family is big on games! I wanted to add some fresh ones into the rotation, since sometimes you get sick of one. (We are still very much obsessed with The Game which I bought earlier in the year.) We are really enjoying Hues and Cues! It's kinda tough, but enlightening too! This game is probably much faster to play with a larger group, but Blake and I played it just ourselves totally fine. Another game I bought was You Laugh and Your Out, but we haven't played it yet. I had my niece and nephews in mind when I added it to the cart, and I think they will find it fun! Honestly, we are all gigglers, so we will all be disqualified quickly!

Two | Fresh Sunnies and Earrings

I love a cute and fun pair of sunglasses and I wanted to try something new. I got this cheap, but still nice sunglasses that were probably more suited to the summer. But, so fun! And, I love to wear a pair of gold earrings everyday, and needed a new pair. These are affordable and just what I was looking for!

Three | Dog Car Seat

I feel like you're laughing. Fully aware of how silly this seems, but I think it's going to make me feel a lot better taking our pugs on their first road trip. When we had 3 pugs, traveling with them never felt like an option. Now that we just have 2, it seems more doable. We are about to give it a try! It made me feel better to know they'd be secure in the car for a few hours. I've been keeping the seat in the house so they get used to the scent and also can climb in. It's a cushiony bed with high walls. You strap the seat belt through the back, and then there are 2 tethers that you attach to their harnesses. I'll have to report back!

Four | Old Man Sweater for Blake

Blake has been wanting sweater for the upcoming colder weather that would look good with khakis or even a tie. I had my eye on one from L.L.Bean but didn't really love the price tag. We got this one from Amazon instead, and it's great!

Five | New Diffuser

My desk upstairs was totally missing a diffuser. I love having something nice diffusing while I work! This diffuser was affordable and I love the look. I just ordered a bunch of oils from Revive, and got a few extra for the office.

Things We've Bought on Amazon Lately

Tuesday, November 26, 2024

Every month or two I do an order with Grove, my go-to for more natural home/personal products. I started ordering from Grove way back when, and have been sharing my hauls ever since! Because we used to live in a small town, this was the best way for me to get the products I wanted with limited options nearby.

My shopping habits have evolved somewhat, but I still love my Grove boxes! You can use my link to sign up and get 30% off your first order. Plus! If you are new you can use Rakuten for even more cash back. Here's what I got in November:

Rooted Beauty Facial Cleanser - Free Gift!

This is a great basic facial cleanser, I've used it several times. This was a free gift with purchase, and I'm always happy to have a back stock of things like this so I don't have to worry about running low.

Acure Radically Rejuvenating Under Eye Hydrogels

I LOVE these. They are so useful for hiding a sleepless night or early morning.

Acure Seriously Soothing Under Eye Hydrogels - Free Gift!

These were also a free gift with purchase, and I am looking forward to giving them a try! They are a different formula than my go-to above.

Grab Green Garbage Disposal Pods

I never want to run out of these handy pods! I keep them under the sink and pop one or two in the garbage disposal every few days. They smell great and keep the sink fresh.

Grab Green Cookware Pods

In the same vein, we always keep these on hand. I especially like to use these in the OurPlace Cast Iron pan we use almost daily. You let the pod dissolve, and let the pan sit for a bit before cleaning.

Grove Co Grout and Tile Brush

This brush is one I already had that needed to be replaced after being used to death. It's a great scrubber, especially for shower tile.

Grove Co Tub & Tile Cleaner Concentrate - Free Gift!

My love of the Grove concentrates know no bounds. I really enjoy using them around the house for typical weekly clean ups, not necessarily for deep cleaning as they are fairly mild.

Grove Co Microfiber Cleaning Cloths

Another restock! I can't have enough of these. They are great dry for dusting, but also work really well in the bathroom too.

Grove Co Unwind Essential Oil Blend

My favorite! Honestly, if I could only choose one blend for my diffuser for the rest of my life, I'd be happy with this one! It's fresh, but also relaxing!

Miami Beach Bum + Body Cream - Sample

I haven't used this yet, but I'm excited to! Gotta love a free sample.

Muse Apothecary Calming Pillow Mist

Eeek! This was a fun item I threw in my cart at the last second, and I'm SO glad I did. It smells incredible! I had planned to keep it in the guest room as a little luxury for anyone staying over, but now I want to keep it in my own room. I think this would also be nice in the living room to freshen up the pillows on the couch.

UpCircle Facial Serum - Sample

I've gotten this sample a lot! It's a great serum, and feels like a fun additional to my colder month skin routine.

Full Circle Mirco Manager Detail Brush

Again, I was replacing this brush. My old one was lookin' rough! A great brush for grout or other nooks & crannies.

November Grove Haul

Pillow Covers (Etsy & Amazon)

I have a few pillow inserts that I got from Ikea years ago, and I enjoy swapping out the covers when I feel like a change. Although I still loved the previous pillow cover patterns, they were really starting to wear out. We wash these things pretty much weekly since the pugs like to rub their stink all over them, haha. I purchased this really affordable set of 2 from Amazon for our square pillows. These come in a million covers and I am very impressed with the quality! For our longer 16x26 pillows, I went to a favorite Etsy shop. She's done several covers for me, and they are just great. I'm not 100% sure these two patterns mix perfectly together but I wanted something different and that's what I got. The orange make me excited for fall!

Laptop/Work Bag

Don't walk, RUN to get this bag if you are in the market for a work/laptop backpack. It's perfect, no notes. I am able to pack up my laptop, charger, iPad, Kindle, thick Planner, pencil pouch, and whatever else I need with room to spare. I could barely choose a color, but I went with the neutral option. The handle is awesome, and there is a pocket to slip over your carry on for travel. 10/10.

Multi-Charger

File this under something I didn't know I needed. With all the tach in my life, it's SO nice to be able to charge everything in one place. This charger charges my phone (which has a magnet case), my Apple watch, and has a place to wireless charge my Airpods. My iPad and my Kindle take the same charger, so I still have that - but this charger stand eliminated sooo many cords.

Pet Gate

I bought this at Homegoods, so I don't have an exact link - but this is a pretty close match. Why didn't I buy one of these sooner!? Bailey, our sweet 14 year old going blind pug, really loves to be upstairs with us. She doesn't climb the stairs, so we have to carry her up. But, the risk is that she will take a tumble down with her poor eyesight. (It happened right after we moved in, and we were so fortunate she didn't get hurt.) I was using an old plastic pet gate that didn't fit the spot and it was really not ideal. I can't believe how easy this style is to use, and it makes all of our lives a lot easier. (And makes me feel better when we have pet sitters here.)

Guest Room Suitcase Rack

With company coming, I really wanted to get a suitcase stand just to make it easier for our guests to unpack. I went with this one on Amazon - and wow it's so great! I really like that it has a few cubbies for their shoes or other belongings. I think adding this stand, as well as a cheap pop up hamper, were great additions to our guest room!

Kid's Stuff

We recently hosted my niece for a few days, and I got her a bracelet making kit which is so affordable and fun! We also had my nephews for a long weekend while their parent's were on their anniversary trip. Because I knew they'd be a bit homesick, I bought them a surprise for each day which included a few crafts and activities they could do while they were here. I'll just share a whole bunch of links here in case you need ideas:

The Game

If your family loves games as much as we do, you'll have to pick up The Game! It's so fun, and easy to get the hang of. I always like a game that Blake and I can play on our own, or with a group. What's nice about this one is that everyone works together and is on the same team. Which is nice when you have a competitive family 😂
Another pro with The Game is that it's a compact card game -easy to pack up and take with you on a trip or what we like to do is bring a game to a brewery to play with friends.

Weight Set

This was a Prime Day purchase! We had our eye on it for a bit, and scooped it up on sale. Blake and I work out at home, and previously we just used a hodgepodge of hand weights we had collected. This set is really nice, and the price was just right. I'm keeping a couple loose dumbbells for now just to make sure I don't need them - but I feel like this set is comprehensive enough for what we do. I'll probably list the extra weights on Facebook Marketplace and consolidate.

Currently, we are using Apple Fitness+ for workouts at home, and we both love it! I love that our watches connect to the TV, and you can see your stats right there on screen.
