Shell Tank
I just love the colors in this shell top!

Is ruffleneck a real word? Regardless, I really love this sweet top! I'd take one in every color - but as always I gravitate towards that chicory color.

Ooooh, like I need another midi dress....but this one keeps catching my eye! The colors are pattern are fresh and great for spring.

File these under things I think I would LOVE, but probably not look as good as I'd hope. Absolutely love the vibe though.

My love of the Girlfriend Tee (in both short and long sleeves) knows no bounds. I will not rest until I have all the colors they offer. Super into the periwinkle and himalayan spice colors they have at the moment. So bright and I think would work great well into summer.

I'm not sure if this would be a boxy fit, but the details are just so cute and fun! Yellow is not my signature color by any means - but really digging this one.

Aren't these just darling? These would be great to dress up or down, in my opinion.

J. Crew Spring 2024 Wishlist

Thursday, February 22, 2024

This post is 100% what you would call 'wishful thinking'. It's currently 102 degrees here in Florida, and I will barely put on more than work out clothes these days. This past week I had a little time, so I decided to reorganize our closet. It was a big reminder of just how many clothes I have that I just have no desire to wear at the moment. Who wants to wear anything but a bathing suit at 102?!

But, autumn is on the horizon, and fall clothing is calling my name! It's absolutely my favorite genre of outfit. I'm just doing a little window shopping over on J Crew (essentially the only store I shop at that isn't ThredUp, Poshmark, or Amazon).

Cream Cardigan

This cardigan is what all my autumnal dreams are made of!! I can't wait to get my hands on it. What a way to add cozy to your outfit.

Flutter Sleeve Midi Dress

Are any of you surprised to see something called 'flutter sleeved midi dress' on this list? I think the last 4 outfits I've shared here have been midi dresses. This one is lovely, and I love the colors!

Camel Puffer Vest

This camel vest has been on my wishlist for the last several years. I keep almost buying it and then not. But here it is again, just because I think it would still make a great addition to my outerwear collection.

Flutter Sleeve Top

I'm in love with this color! These tees are such great staples.

Tortoise Shell Belt

When going through my clothes this week, I noticed my brown belt has seen better days. Well, let's be real, I even noticed chew marks on it from when our senior dog was a puppy. So it might be time to upgrade! I thought this one was so cool with the tortoise buckle!

1983 Crew Neck Sweat Shirt

I love this sweatshirt so much! 1983 was when my husband was born, so it's just kinda cool to see it here.

Paperclip Bracelet

I recently got a paperclip style gold necklace, and thought this would be a great compliment! It's a classic piece of jewelry, but just trendy enough.

Fall Fashion Daydreaming | J Crew Fall 2023 Wish List

Wednesday, August 23, 2023

One thing that Blake and I have always done is keep up with our respective Amazon wish lists. These lists serve two main functions for us. One, it helps us know exactly what each other would like to receive as gifts. Admittedly, we both have pretty specific tastes, so this eliminates all doubt. We know exactly what each other wants. And, secondly, these wish lists are so great at helping you bookmark things for later. I often add things to the list just to keep an eye on the price, or to see if I really truly want that item.

Want a little insight into what I'm shopping for? Well, here's a peak at my list!

P.S. I actually keep an entirely separate list for books! If the price drops or there is a special deal on a book, Amazon notifies me. (This is actually one of the tips I share in my How I Save Money on Books post!)

I'm Shopping For:

Welcome Sign

I had a wreath on our side door (the door we use), and ending up moving it and now I feel like I need something for that door! I thought this sign was cute and would work well.

Cricut Maker

I have an Explore, and love it to pieces. It's paid for itself 10 times over with my Etsy shop. But, I would like to upgrade one day, and this is what I have my eye on.

Cricut Easy Press

Again, this is something that I would like to get in the future. I've been making it just fine just using my home iron. But, this would be a little luxury and I know I'd enjoy using it.

Thermal Printer

Another wish list item for my Etsy set up. I use my regular printer for shipping labels, but I would love to get a thermal printer for labels and stickers.

Rocking Chair and Table

Our front porch is lacking some kind of chair, and I keep coming back to this. Simple, but classic. And I think I could throw a seasonal cushion on it for fun.

Glass Dome Diffuser

What's really on my wishlist is the Young Living Aria diffuser, but it's so expensive. I thought this really fit the look - but a much lower price. Pretty solid reviews too.

Dog Car Seat

Is this completely ridiculous? Probably. But, I can't help it, I want it! The problem is I have 3 dogs, and it would be pretty ridiculous to spend this much on 3 dog car seats. Especially because it would just be for rides to vet every so often.

Set of Skinny Belts

I really like these! I love that it comes in 2 colors. Seems like these could jazz up so many different outfits - especially dresses.

Hardcopy of The Body

I LOVED this book. It was so interesting. I listened to the audio, and thought many times how I wished I had the hard copy so I could highlight it up and down.

Rose Gold Watering Can

Like most people during the Pandemic, I acquired quite a few house plants. Most of them are doing great! But, I feel kind of funny using a disposable plastic cup over and over to water them. This mini can would be so convenient and a lot cuter.

Ninja Smoothie Blender

It's becoming abundantly clear that our blender is about to give up. I really like this option, since we mainly use our blender for smoothies or protein shakes.

Spring always gets me thinking about this day! I was wearing J Crew Factory then too.

Are you the type of person who spends an hour adding stuff to your cart, and then ends up deciding not to buy any of it? That's me too! I like to window shop, and add things to my wish list. And, if I think about it later - then I know I really want it and come back to consider actually checking out. One of my very favorite stores is J Crew Factory. It rarely lets me down. And, with spring upon us, I have to say I am itching to try out some more springy outfits. So, here's a little glimpse into what's hanging out in my cart at the moment.

Orange Eyelet Top

If I have a weakness, it's fluttery sleeved tops. They just work with everything! Plus it adds a fun detail to an otherwise plain shirt. Love this color and the sleeves.

Puff Sleeve Midi Dress

Another thing I can't resist? A midi dress that looks comfy. This dress was advertised to me on social media, and that's what got me perusing J Crew's website in the first place.

Road Trip Sneakers

I have a pair of Addias sneakers that reminded me of these. I find myself constantly reaching for them! They just go with everything, and I know I'll be wearing them all summer.

City Sneakers

Same with these! I liked the color scheme of these even better than the ones above!

Linen Drawstring Pants

While I'm not sure these look like the most flattering pants, I know they would be the most comfortable. Sometimes I don't want to wear jeans, but shorts are right for the occasion either. I think these would be a great middle ground! Something easy to dress up or down.

The Girlfriend Tee

My favorite tee shirt. I'm not ashamed to admit I own at least 6 colors. I have my eye on adding the marigold and the melon colors next.

Smocked Tie Shoulder Top

I've actually had my eye on this top for some time! I just find it so precious. The only reason I haven't purchased it yet is I'm worried how it will look on my body type. I feel like it'll either be perfect or the worst thing I've ever put on, haha.

Tiered Midi Dress

Another gorgeous midi! I absolutely love my collection of J Crew midi dresses, and feel like this would fit right in. Click through and look at it on the model. I think it looks better on than in the flat lay.

A Spring J Crew Factory Wishlist

Friday, March 10, 2023

Coming at you on a 90 degree day, with fall on the brain! We still have weeks and weeks of summer left here, but that hasn't stopped me from bringing out all the fall scents for my diffuser. Actually, coming up here really soon, Blake and I are going to be finally going on our Europe trip! And we will most likely get some real fall weather there.

As I declutter my closet and take inventory, I have formulated a tiny wish list for the next season.

J Crew Puffer Vest

I love a good vest. Especially in Florida, they really serve as a great layering piece when it's cold in the mornings and warm in the afternoons. I already have a vest, but I really really love the color of this new one from J Crew! I love that nutmeg shade, and it's definitely a weakness.

J Crew Factory Girlfriend Long Sleeve Tees

These tees are my favorite! I have several of the girlfriend short sleeves, so I was thrilled to see they came out with a long sleeve version. I picked up 2 colors already, but I'm thinking I'd like to add a few more to my cart and replace some of my older long sleeve shirts. Our winter wardrobes don't really get a whole lot of use, so some of the items I have are very old.

Need a J Crew or J Crew Factory Coupon? If you haven't signed up for their passport program, you can use my link and get $20!

LL Bean Sweats

Some of my most worn cold weather items are LL Bean! I'd really like to add in a lounge/sleep style pant to my closet. Love the color of these, and I have a top from LL Bean already that I think will work with them.

LOFT Striped Sweater

I got a similar color palette sweater last year, and I'm just obsessed. Love the colors and this style of shirt is great for our weather once it cools off.

Barbour Headband

File this under major want and not need. I bought a Barbour coat this year!!! I could write whole post on that journey, but when I saw this headband...I just want it so bad - ha! The tartan matches the lining of my coat and I can just totally picture wearing it in England...
There is a matching umbrella too, but I digress.

Mark and Graham Crossbody

I have my eye on this for our trip too. I have an amazing every day purse, but it's too vulnerable for pickpocketing - so I want to take something smaller that zips. And one of my carry on items is a backpack, so I think I crossbody about this size would work well. Plus it's the right color 😊

Fall 2022 Wishlist

Friday, August 26, 2022

Since I'm on a self imposed buying freeze, one thing that has helped me limit my spending has been adding things to my Amazon Wish List-instead of just adding it to the cart. In fact, I've noticed that I previously added a few items to my wish list and later decided I didn't want them after all. It's a great strategy to prevent impulse purchases!

What's On My Wish List

Monday, November 4, 2019

Oh, Amazon. I don't know what I do without you! Living in a small town really limits your shopping options, so I'm very thankful for that quick two day shipping for anything I might need in a pinch. It comes in handy so often!

Blake and I both started Wish Lists for a funny reason actually. It was probably our 2nd anniversary, and I had no idea what to buy him. Blake is very particular about what he likes. I can either totally nail a gift, or quickly realize he is never going to use or wear whatever it is I buy him. I had him whip up a quick list so I knew exactly what he was hoping to get. (This is especially helpful if your recipient wants a particular electronic.)

Since then, we've both kept up an Amazon wishlist! I've even gotten some of our family to make them up as well, and we've saved their lists to our dashboard so we always know what to buy on special occasions. (I personally don't feel like this takes away any surprise. They still don't know what you are buying, but also guarantees they will like it.)

Anyway, I thought it'd be fun to share what's currently on my list. I'm always curious to see what other people are buying or saving up to buy!

Starting my list off with the most expensive item first! I've been learning to sew, and one day I'd really love to get my own machine. I've picked this one for a few reasons. Brother is a good brand, and I really love that this has a monogramming feature.
These are kinda pricey, which is the main reason I haven't bought them yet. I usually pick up a cheap pair of slippers off Groupon every fall, but they really don't hold up. I'd like to invest in a great pair that I can keep wearing. I love the color of these and that they have a hard sole for when I have to take the dogs out in the morning.
We love watching cooking and baking shows! Recently, we were watching a baking competition and they used these attachments to make ice cream. It was SO cool, and I instantly added one to my wish list.
I'd really love to get a copy of this cookbook. It's plant based recipes, which really fit our lifestyle right now! I'm mostly interested because these recipes seem uncomplicated. The author is in London, so I sort of wonder if the measurements will need converting. But at less than $15, I think I'd be willing to try it.

Almost as expensive as the sewing machine, but I really have my eyes on these headphones! I have weird ears, and earbuds have never ever worked for me. I was so excited when over the ear headphones came back in style, and I have a cheapy pair that have worked just fine. A nice pair of noise cancelling, wireless headphones would make me so happy though!

It might be the most boring thing on my list but it's something I think about getting all the time! Using paper towels to dry your lettuce it just so time consuming. Especially now that my garden is taking off, I really would love to get a salad spinner.
My dream home definitely includes a bigger bathtub, but for now my standard tub works fine. I'd love to get this caddy to hold my tablet or a book while I soak!
Gosh, I think this tripod arm would be so helpful for blog photos and for photos for my Etsy shop! I find it so hard to hold my arm steady in awkward positions. It would save quite a bit of time if I could line up a shot and get it over with-instead of trying a gazillion times to take a picture without my eye in the viewfinder!

These are probably going to stay on my wishlist until I can find a good dupe! Last summer I found two pairs of shoes at an outlet that look exactly like the standard Jacks. But, I really really really love the style of this sandal and the color of course. (These are a shoe you definitely can't buy used either! The shoe gets a big dark foot mold of the person who wears them.)

This is the shower head that we installed in our guest bathroom. We adore this shower head so much, and I really would like to get a second one for our master shower. It's really easy to install too. It just attaches to the regular shower head pipe, and you glue the bottom half attachment down with silicone. So luxurious and fun! Plus, It makes dog washing a dream with that hose!
Quite glamorous, huh? Truthfully though, I would love to start composting. We did it growing up, and while it was sort of an experiment, it really did help our family cut down on waste. I recently read that a lot of things that could decompose easily, can't because they are mixed in with other household waste that doesn't decompose. This composter looks easy to use, and I think it would work well in our backyard. Plus, if it works I will be able to use it in my garden!

Hello!

Hi friends! I'm Kristen, and this is the Life and Style of a mid 30's Floridian living the Best Life Ever, with her husband and two pugs. Runner | Avid Reader | Small Shop Owner
