Using the Home Edit x Walmart Line Around our House

Tuesday, February 22, 2022

Of course, it's no secret that I love to organize. It's not unusual to find me watching random organizing videos on Youtube either. I found this quiz super helpful in zeroing in on my organizing style! My result was the 'Cricket' - or someone who likes things to be visually clutter free and has some pretty detailed systems. As much as I 'hate' to admit it - this pretty much nailed how I feel. While I won't absolutely lose it if you mess something up in my house - I do prefer for everything to have a place, and for it too look nice at the same time!

Enter The Home Edit. We all watched the Netflix series - and while I LOVE looking at all those rainbows, I knew that'd never be my home. The episodes just made organizing look so unrealistic, if I'm being honest. But, that being said, the look is aspirational...and expensive! So, I was pretty tickled when I saw their Walmart collaboration with all those clear bins at a great price point. I added one of the sets to my Walmart grocery pick up...and then ended up with 3 more sets once I realized how great they were!

There are a variety of sets, all with coordinating pieces you can mix and match. The quality is excellent to say the least. I was able to use the pieces all over the house and thought I'd share some pictures with you today.

Pantry

I've given you a dedicated post to my pantry organization, but this took it to the next level. I'm loving big bins for snacks and the can riser is so aesthetically pleasing!

Labeling is the next thing on my to do list. I wanted to live with this system for a bit before I made it 'official' with labels. I sell a set of pantry labels in my Etsy shop, and that's what I will be using to get these looking truly Home Edit.

Laundry Room

Our laundry 'room' is really just a large closet. I'm daydreaming about adding another shelf one day, but for now this works just fine. I really like how my little soap station turned out, and I really love how much better my back stock of refills looks up on the shelf.

Before > After

Bathroom

Our bathroom drawers were not too bad before, but the flimsy dollar store sorters weren't really my favorite. The Home Edit bathroom set is just perfect for drawers! We each have a drawer, and these sorters really maximize the space. Don't let the 'bathroom' name stop you though, these would be ideal in kitchen drawers, your craft room or office!

Fridge

Our fridge is SUPER nice, don't get me wrong. But the layout was not working for me. I don't know why it took me 6 months to realize I could rearrange the shelves and drawers. Whoops! Once I got the layout set up better, I added some of the extra bins I had leftover from the various sets I bought to make it even more functional.

It truly does make me feel more at ease in my own home when everything has it's own space. I'm really glad that the Home Edit did this collaboration because I think it made this type of aesthetic organizing more accessible! You'll have to leave me a comment below and let me know if you take that clutterbug quiz and what your result is!
