Welcome to day twenty eight of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

It's the last day of the declutter challenge! Thank you to everyone who participated in this challenge. Today, we are taking one final pass throughout our homes and seeing if there is anything left we can say goodbye to.

I feel so accomplished personally after finishing this challenge. Our house feels so light, and I feel like I have a big jump on spring cleaning! Not only was the trunk of my CRV totally full for the donation center, we also sold just under $400 worth of random items on eBay and Facebook marketplace this month. That felt super good!

I went through our house one more time and was still able to find a small Amazon box's worth of items to add to the month's total!

Declutter Challenge Day 28! - The Last Day!

Wednesday, February 28, 2024

Welcome to day twenty seven of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

Day 27 is our last flex day! Use today to catch up on a day you missed, or tackle something specific in your own home. For me, that means all my travel supplies and gear. You know, all those tiny toiletries and packing cubes.

Declutter Challenge Day 27 - Flex Day

Tuesday, February 27, 2024

Welcome to day twenty six of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

On day 26 we are taking on our paper clutter! You know you have a pile of paper laying around somewhere, or hidden away in a drawer. Today is the day! If you want to take the challenge to the next level, spend some time unsubscribing from all those random emails you get.

I actually took a 'before' picture of the paper clutter that I had stashed in my daily planner, but realized the top item in the picture revealed some personal info. So, here's just an 'after' photo of my pile to discard.

Declutter Challenge Day 26 - Paper Clutter

Monday, February 26, 2024

Welcome to day twenty five of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

On day 25 we are decluttering our refrigerators and freezers. It's time to toss old condiments and freezer burnt food. If you want to take the challenge to the next level today we are making sure that the tops of our fridges and even the sides are decluttered of old invitations and extra magnets. Bonus points today if you take a look at all of your small appliances and see if you really love and use them.

Woohoo! I was actually surprised how much old food and condiments we had to get rid of. I hadn't gone grocery shopping yet, so I thought my fridge was already pretty sparse. It felt very good to give these shelves a good washing too.

This also felt great to get decluttered! I even saw an invitation I never RSVP'd for, so this was good timing.

Declutter Challenge Day 25 - The Fridge

Sunday, February 25, 2024

Welcome to day twenty four of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

On day 24, we are cleaning out under our kitchen sinks! This tends to be a place of random cleaners and old flower vases in our house. If you want to take this challenge to the next level, take a pass around the entire kitchen.

I was able to consolidate several items here, and even say goodbye to a stainless cleaner I didn't really love. It was also a good time to make sure my fire extinguisher was still good.

Declutter Challenge Day 24 - Kitchen Sink

Saturday, February 24, 2024

Welcome to day twenty three of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

Day 23 is a Flex Day! That means you can use today to catch up, or work on a project specific to your house. For me, that means decluttering my upstairs closet. This closet houses a lot of random items like memories and keepsakes, hiking gear, office supplies, our Go-Bags, and some gear we use for volunteer work. It also houses our travel supplies, which I will be working on during the next Flex Day.

For the most part, many of the things that have found their way into this closet just need to be put in their real homes. But, I was able to purge a few items I didn't need to hang on to anymore.

Declutter Challenge Day 23 - Flex Day

Welcome to day twenty two of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

On day 22, we are declutter accessories! It's time to review your jewelry, hats, and belts. Then if you want to take this challenge to the next level, declutter all of your winter accessories like gloves and scarves.

Guys, what are we doing with our hoards of masks?! I'm keeping a couple just in case, but definitely don't need all these.

For the most part, I was able to part ways with a few pieces of jewelry and baseball hats. Then I got rid of several scarves! We don't need that many here in Florida anyway, but I always reach for the same 2 if I'm going to wear one.

Blake also went through his stuff and got rid of a lot of ties, pocket squares, and other trinkets he's collected in the last decade or so.

Declutter Challenge Day 22 - Accessories

Thursday, February 22, 2024

Welcome to day twenty one of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

On day 21, we are cleaning out our medicine cabinets! And, if you want to take it to the next level, reconsider your collection of vitamins and supplements.

This was an area I couldn't wait to go through. I consolidated SO much! And how cute is this little medicine tin organizer I found at TJ Max?!

Declutter Challenge Day 21 - Medicine Cabinet

Wednesday, February 21, 2024

Welcome to day twenty of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

Today on day 20 we are working under our bathroom sinks! And, if you want to kick it up a notch declutter all of your bathrooms.

This is a space that is constantly getting messy in my house! Under our sinks I typically keep backstock of products, as well as hair tools, and my nail supplies.

Declutter Challenge Day 20 - Bathrooms

Tuesday, February 20, 2024

Welcome to day nineteen of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

On day 19 we are decluttering cords! And, if you want to take it to the next level take on all your tech. This is a day I probably needed to most! Blake works in IT, and has a passion for electronics so our collection is something else.

Do you see that? It's an entire trash bag of empty boxes! 😂 We were also able to cull all our cords and chargers. Additionally, we listed a bunch of old electronics on eBay.

Declutter Challenge Day 19 - Cords

Sunday, February 18, 2024

Welcome to day eighteen of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

Day 18 is a Flex Day! You can use today to catch up on a day you missed, or use it to address an area specific to your life and home that's not on the schedule.

For me, I'm going to declutter our front porch. I've got a few pieces of rusty decor and I could probably use a new doormat.

Declutter Challenge Day 18 - Flex Day

Saturday, February 17, 2024

Welcome to day seventeen of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

On day 17 we are tackling our Tupperware cabinets! Time to make sure everything has a corresponding lid, and time to part with the rest. If you want to take it to the next level today, declutter your entire kitchen.

Honestly, since our move, I really have our kitchen down the the essentials. I'm only parting with an extra set of tongs I never picked used. I still don't love our Tupperware cabinet - but I haven't been able to come up with anything better for these containers.

Declutter Challenge Day 17 - Tupperware

Welcome to day sixteen of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

On day 16, we are decluttering office supplies! Really consider how many pens you actually need. If you want to take it to the next level, declutter your crafting supplies.

My office supplies are a little spread out. Mainly, I wanted to tackle our desk drawers and we were able to toss a ton of stuff! I also have a closet in our office dedicated to my Etsy shop supplies and some other crafting supplies. Additionally, we have a box sorter for some other random things like batteries and label makers. I got all of that straightened up and decluttered!

Declutter Challenge Day 16 - Office Supplies

Friday, February 16, 2024

Welcome to day fifteen of the Declutter Challenge! I shared the schedule here. Each day has a 10 minute task, and an option to kick it up a notch and declutter further.

Day 15 means we are decluttering our car! And if you want to make this challenge harder, go for your whole garage. I don't have a garage, but I do have a utility room that I use like a garage. So I will be sorting that out as well.

To begin with, I needed my first donation center run! My trunk has been collecting items that I've decluttered in the past two weeks, and I was happy to say goodbye! Then I took a pass at all the seat pockets and my glove box and was able to get rid of several things that just didn't belong.

And a little utility room sort out. We had a few things in here we didn't need, but for the most part everything just needed a tidy.
