Just popping in with a few photos from Disney! My mom, sister, nephews, and I went for a few days and it was dreamy! June is hot for Disney, but we made the most of it and did a lot of pool and water park time. We started our trip by visiting Typhoon Lagoon! Such a blast, and even better with a Dole Whip. My cousin and her family were able to join which made it so fun!
The next day we spent the morning at Magic Kingdom and got to ride the new Tron roller coaster. It was SO much fun and I was very happy to have scored the virtual queue. After we could park hop, we made our way over to EPCOT and stayed until park closing. It was very fun, especially since my littlest nephew could ride Soarin' for the first time.
Right after we got off Soarin', we actually found a lost child. It was crazy. My sister went into mom mode, and we were so impressed with the staff and the quick action they took. The little boy was reunited with his mom about 15 minutes later. (Honestly, she didn't seem that upset. I don't think she knew he was missing that long.) We felt that we got rewarded for helping when a lightening lane popped up for Ratatouille right after that whole encounter. My nephew really wanted to ride it and had been talking about it all day. We thought we were going to have to wait in line - so it was really exciting to get to hop right on.
We finished that night with dinner at China, and a few more rides. Everyone was pretty tired so we decided to head back to our resort (Caribbean Beach) via the skyliner. I had not gotten to use the skyliner yet, so that was really cool. Even better, as we were in the air the fireworks started and we got a really unique vantage point.
The next day we just enjoyed the pool at our hotel! Such luxury! Highly recommend the Banana Cabana drink at the pool bar. Fortunately, the weather started looking threatening and that made us peel ourselves away and head home. It was very hard to leave! I'm very excited because, Blake and I are going to get to go for another day in July - so I don't have long to wait!
