One | What an interesting week!
It's been one for the books. We've been dealing with a little health situation and also trying to make plans for the future this week. There is nothing like your health that puts things into perspective! Everything will be fine and I'm not worried about things working out because they always do.
I've always said I hate the journey, I just want to get to the destination- and this is no different. I just want to get to the end and skip over the unknowns. Does that makes sense? Probably not, but in the meantime here is a picture of me on a bridge we visited this past weekend. 🙃
Two | Happy Anniversary to my Mom & Dad
August is a big anniversary month for our family. My parents and sister have anniversaries one week apart. We go BIG on anniversaries. Anniversaries should be celebrated! It's the only date that comes and goes that you have to earn and work for every year.
We always do something fun, but this year was obviously super weird. We opted for a outdoor dinner and a family selfie. It really was a great night. The air was cooler than normal, the sunset was amazing, and we have all been cooped up for months so it felt extra special.
We've really only been around family in the last few months and it's made me feel even closer to these 4!
Three | Etsy Update
I've had so much fun with my Etsy shop the past few months. It's been a great way to earn a little extra money and something to do at home. Vinyl decals are my best sellers and frankly my favorite thing to make because they are so cheap and easy. But, I wanted to dip my toe into more physical items, so this week I added a baby onesie and this freaking adorable mask pouch:
Bonus!! Four | Marco Polo
Just wanted to throw out there that a real highlight of my week has been the app Marco Polo. If you haven't heard of it, it's a video messaging app. You basically record yourself and send it to a friend. They can watch it live or watch it when they can. It's texting but even better. I started using it at the beginning of the pandemic with my mom and some other friends who already had accounts. But, in the last few weeks I've asked several of my friends to download it and start using it with me.
It's perfect for the friend that you call once in a while and spend 2 hours on the phone with. For me, I always want to talk with those people but I also know that I don't really have 2 hours to devote to such a long conversation. Marco Polo allows you to have those conversations in shorter bursts and you get to see their face! I love it so much.
My favorite person I've gotten on there is my Pop. He's the coolest grandpa ever. He sends me the most precious videos!
Happy Thursday friends! I hope you are having a great week! Leave a comment below and tell me whats up with you!
