This post is going to make me seem like an old lady, but this is the kind of stuff that gets me excited! Clothes and makeup don't do it for me quite like home improvement does. None of this is super glamorous, but I wanted to share a few things we've purchased this year that have made our lives easier and better!

First up, we have three dogs so a spot carpet cleaner has been a lifesaver! This small, but powerful machine has saved us from having to get our entire carpet professionally cleaned. It also works great on our car's interior as well as cleaning our outdoor furniture.
Again, we have 3 dogs. Three very hairy dogs that shed like crazy. Between my Roomba and this cordless vacuum my life is so much easier. To think, I used to sweep every single day! It's lightweight, and the charge lasts for a long time. It's also excellent for cleaning out our cars.
File this under: why didn't we do this a long time ago! This summer we upgraded to a king from a queen and I will never look back. It's such a great mattress that we really do sleep better. We also purchased these doggie steps that are the perfect height for the pugs to get up onto the bed. (I'm beginning to think that all of our purchases revolve around the dogs...)
This is the bedding we purchased, and we are definitely still loving it as well.
A terrible photo, but at least you can see the pet steps in action!
Buying an air fryer made me fall back in love with cooking. As much as I love cooking, it can become routine and monotonous! This appliance makes such delicious veggies, chicken wings and even bagels!
Sick of me going on about this machine yet? Blake bought me a Cricut for our anniversary in February. To be fair he bought it with the money I had earned through Ebates, so it was really a gift to myself! It's the gift that keeps on giving. It's made me feel creative again and I love using it to make gifts for others.
You can see some of the things I've made this year here.
Our grill bit the dust 2..maybe 3 years ago and we hadn't replaced it until this summer. Hurricane season was upon us and a grill is great if we lose power. Blake decided he wanted a griddle style grill, and it's been amazing! We love it so much. It cooks perfectly and because of the griddle style you can cook so much more than traditional grill foods. We've used it for pancakes, pizzas and next up we are going to try a hibachi style meal!
Our niece made the best grilling assistant:
