1. Bald Point State Park
I still have the goal to visit all the State Parks in Florida, and we were happy to cross another one off the list on New Years Day! This one is just about an hour from where we live and gosh so beautiful. Lots of people come here in the summer to swim, so we might do that one weekend.
We enjoyed the board walks and yummy charcuterie at a picnic table.
2. Falling Down
Not the best week for me! I started with getting a stye in my eye for one thing, and then Tuesday during my 10 mile run - I totally ate it and busted my knee. I won't show the close up picture, but you can see my red knee in the one above. I am proud to say that I continued my run and did the whole ten miles. Got a few stares. I have a bruise on my arm, but mostly the pain is just knee related. And fortunately, that's just a (bad) scrape.
3. Not a Cheap Week
It feels like 2026 isn't my year so far! My car was in the shop this past week, and our dogs had their annual vet visit. Plus, I bought our Disney tickets for pre and post my half marathon in March, and put a deposit down on a trip for our anniversary next year. 😂
4. The Rookie
The Rookie is back! I fell in love with this show over the summer. My niece loves it, and we watched the first season or so together when she came to stay on her summer break. We had her again over winter break and we caught up on season 7. Blake and I just rewatch all our favorite shows over and over - so it's unusual for me to have a 'live' one to keep up with!
(Edit to say, actually we also love Abbott Elementary, so I guess I have 2 shows!)
5. Does this set look like pajamas?
I bought this set from Fablectics recently, and it's so cute. It's an ivory color, with gold metallic stars all over it. I love it, but I'm sort of not convinced it doesn't look like pajamas. The top isn't supportive enough for running, so I'll probably only wear it during my home workouts anyway.
