Another weekly diary for you! I've been feeling very busy recently, but it's still surprises me how different this kind of busy feels than it used to a year ago. A year ago we had our 10 year anniversary party! It was truly the last event we've been to. So strange!
Pantry Organization
I've been meaning to tackle my pantry since we moved in, and finally had the chance! I highly recommend these clear containers from Walmart. A customer from my Etsy store requested some pantry labels and I loved them so much I made some for myself! They are now available in my shop in singles or sets of 5 and 10.
Taco Nights & Margaritas
I think Blake and I could eat tacos every single night and never grow tired of them. We recently made some amazing guacamole and pico de gallo. Blake also perfected a copy cat Chuy's creamy jalepeno dip and now it's the only thing I want to eat!
We also tried out homemade margaritas, and ended up with the most amazing drink! We did traditional lime margs, and then tried it with grapefruit juice because we had a dozen grapefruits from Sams. It is incredible! Just simple ingredients too: grapefruit juice, tequila, agave syrup and a sugar rim. 😋
New Kindle!
When Blake first asked me what I wanted for my anniversary gift this year, I said a right hand ring. I still have my eye on a beautiful emerald ring...but I told him I changed my mind when I saw that Kindles had recently been on sale! My Kindle was definitely beat up and pretty slow-so I'm thankful for the upgrade! What can I say, I'm not that fancy. I'd rather have a practical gift over jewelry.
First Barre Class
My mom has been taking Pure Barre classes and invited me to try one with her when I was in town. It was SO hard. I am not new to fitness classes, but I have never been to something so challenging. It really burned, but in that good way that lets you know you are working all the right places. I'd love to take more classes in the future.
Nephew Sleepovers
We love having our neice and nephews over, but it's extra special when we get one on one time with them. It makes my heart so warm to see how good and patient the pugs are with them too!
Family Annviersary Celebration
It's our 11th anniversary on Saturday! I can't believe another year has gone by. Year 11 was obviously weird, but we are so grateful for all the extra time we've had together and with my family. They are pretty much the only people we've seen all year! We have a class to take on our actual anniversary, so we celebrated with a yummy dinner and cake a week early.
We love making a big deal about anniversaries!
