Just popping in to share a simple solution to organizing all of those teeny plastic letters for your letter boards! I've been coveting a letter board for so long, and I'm just thrilled to have one! When I was popping out the letters for it's maiden voyage at my sister's baby shower, I knew I was going to need to come up with a good way to store them. A plastic baggy was not going to work!!
Amazon to the rescue! (What did I ever do without prime?!) I found a perfectly size tackle box, that I think was intended for bead storage. It has 36 slots, so just right for sorting and storing letters and numbers. I may even get fancy in the future and slap some labels on this thing!
I already have several phrases and quotes that I want to spell out on my letter board! I think that if I had to go digging and searching for letters I'd be less inclined to change it out often. But, this makes it easy!
Leave a comment below if you are an organization junky like me! It's even better when it's an incredibly simple solution isn't it?! If you have a letter board, tell me what you've got written on it!

Exactly Katherine! All organization systems need to be easy! Otherwise you won't keep up with it.
DeleteI've been looking at letter boards for a while but I was always worried about the organization of letters and storage. This idea is perfect though! Love it!

Thanks Felicity! I've been eyeing these boards forever, and I knew I wasn't going to be able to have those letters everywhere! My dogs would end up eating them!
DeleteI love clever organizational ideas like this! Thank you, I’m hoping to get a letter board as soon as our new bookshelf arrives and I’ll definitely store the letters like this. xAllie www.theallthatglittersblog.com
ReplyDeleteOoo! I can't wait to see Allie!
DeleteLove this!!! I want a letter board so badly.
ReplyDeleteSo simple but would have escaped me!! I remember I used to have one of those boxes as a kid to organize my beads and string/yarn to make friendship bracelets. HA I totally want a letter board...
ReplyDeleteHaha! Exactly! I had quite the bead collection!! This looks exactly like my old case. I had a letterboard on my wishlist forever. Just get one! It's such an easy way to refresh your decor.
DeleteLove this! I've been wanting to get one of these boards for the longest time, so I'll have to add the tackle box as part of my Amazon order! Also, is the quote you have on your board a reference to The IT Crowd? I love that show!
ReplyDeleteHaha yes! I meant to put in a blurb about why that's my current quote. My husband works in IT and he literally says it 100 times a day. But it actually works most of the time! We love the IT crowd. The episode with the 'leg disabled' thing makes me crack up even just thinking about it.
DeleteGreat idea! I love amazon...everything we order is from amazon these days!
ReplyDeleteThank you Erinn! Amazon is a life saver! We live in a small town so we get just about everything 'unique' delivered.
DeleteSuch a great idea! I need to do this for mine because I know I will randomly find an R and X floating around somewhere. Pinning this!! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea. I just got my first letter board last week and I have all of the letters in a big ziploc bag and it's not a great method lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever solution! I don't have a letter board yet but have been itching to get one! They're such a fun way to write messages!
ReplyDeleteI think these boards are so adorable!! I really want a pink one for my house :)
ReplyDeleteI would have never guessed that you had to store those letters! What was I thinking ha! Those boards are adorable! I should get one for my sister. She loves them!

I do this for organizing my small stud earrings - same color ones go into one pocket of the box!
