My Husband Is A Fashion Blogger!

Wednesday, June 14, 2017

On the way to the beach, I talked everyone in our group into stopping off at the Outlet Mall. They humored me, but it wasn't long until the guys got bored. To entertain themselves they picked out 3 pieces of clothing that were as pastel as a baby shower, and dared my husband Blake to try everything on at once. I'm talking mint green pants, a pink tee-shirt and a yellow button up. Everybody gathered around the dressing room, ready to start laughing as soon as he came out. The best part was, he totally pulled it off!

That silly memory has stuck with me all this time, because it speaks volumes about my husband. He is not afraid to stand out, and he absolutely doesn't care what people think of him. It might be a bit of stubbornness, but mostly the guy is confident.

I talked him into a little photoshoot to show off his style. And whaddayaknow, he was great at it!

Blake can be seen in a version of this 'uniform' just about everyday. He usually wears a pair of chinos and either a button up or polo shirt to work 5 days a week. Since that outfit works so well for his job, he has quite the collection of khakis and shirts in just about every color of the rainbow. Sometimes he will walk out of the closet with burnt orange pants and a forest green shirt, and I just smile because even though no one else could, he can totally pull it off! And even if he couldn't, he'd wear it anyway because he wants to.

I linked what pieces I could, but most of his outfit is older. We have our eyes on these chinos from Bonobos, since they come in so many fun colors! It's hard to find a good pair of pants that don't have the mostly unflattering pleats in the front.

Leave a comment below if your husband has his own style, or if he lets you pick out clothes for him. Does he have a 'uniform' too? And I'd love to know if he would he ever let you talk him into doing a blogger photoshoot! Details on my outfit coming soon!

  7. When buying a polo shirts make sure you pay close attention to the collar positioning on the shirt. The buttons should technically come down little over your armpits and not below. This way, whether you choose to wear them buttoned up or otherwise, it lends you a smart look.

  8. If you find something you like and it fits perfectly, buy a couple, perhaps in different colors. If you find that you like the clothes in a particular store or catalog, sign up for their email list, since that is where most sales get announced. men's cloth
