5 Things I Can't Live Without - Beauty Products

Thursday, April 23, 2015

This is going to be a fun new series to share! I'm definitely loyal to certain products and things that I can't imagine living without. Ritualistic, routine oriented, whatever you want to call it, I am a creature of habit. In today's 5 Things I Can't Live Without I am going to share the 5 makeup and other beauty products I just can't go without.

You can't get any more basic than a bar of soap. But this bar of soap is absolutely necessary for me. I used to use Proactiv-with pretty blah results for that much money. One day I ran out of face wash and just grabbed the bar of soap. I figured it would do just until I could go buy more facewash. I'm telling you since I started using this bar of soap on my face, I've had the best skin I have ever had. Ever. I use it every morning and then usually again at night if I don't fall asleep on the couch.

I've mentioned Dollar Shave Club before as a way to save money. I use the executive razor, which is only $9 per refill. I love this stinkin' razor! It is supposed to be for a guy, but ladies razors just don't work the same. I kept stealing Blake's razor, and eventually ordered my own! We just share the cartridges. (cheap!) I'm a weirdo who has to shave everyday. By choice really, but I can't stand even a hint of stubble. So my razor is definitely a can't live without.

Three// Baby Lips
One thing in my daily lip routine is using Baby Lips lip balm. Burt's Bees is my second favorite. Baby Lips just moisturizes so well, and it has a nice shine to it. It's like lip gloss, but not sticky and it helps your chapped lips. I have like 4 tubes rotating around- one in my car, one in my purse etc. I've never tried the tinted ones, but I'm really tempted. There is also a mint version that I would love to try since I love Burt's Bees too.

Okay, so you caught me, I'm a drugstore makeup buyer. I've bought department store and catalogue make up before, but honestly when it comes to mascara I'm good with the cheap stuff. I love Lashblast because of the great thick brush. It works really well on my lashes. I usually get black or black-brown. I don't wear a lot of makeup but even if I'm just running out, I will at least have some mascara on. I have also noticed that some mascaras really irritate my eyes and make them water incessantly. This is one mascara that I have never had a problem with. It's affordable and works great!

These make up remover towelettes are so great! Some stores sell their own store brand version of these wipe, and I have yet to find one that compares. Somethings are just worth the extra buck. As I said before I don't wear a lot of makeup so these towelettes go a long way. They work flawlessly and don't leave your skin feeling weird after you use them.
In case you are wondering, that's Essie's Splash of Grenadine on my nails-which is my current favorite nail color! So springy and fun! I plan to share more of my favorites in the future, so let me know if you want to see something in particular. I know I will share my can't live without cleaning supplies and my have to have hair stuff.
