Ended 2019 in North Carolina
We love visiting Blake's mom and dad in N.C.! The drive is pretty long, but it's always worth it. We got to spend time with his parents, and family friend's Bill & Connie, who are just the best. It was a lot of relaxing, movie watching, and eating good food.

I also got to go on a few runs in their neighborhood while we were there. It's so nice to run in new places. Changes in scenery really help keep it interesting! It was so cold in the mornings on my runs, but it warmed up to almost 70 degrees in the afternoons. Bummer, because I was really looking forward to wearing all my cold weather gear we never get to wear at home.

It's Story Time!
Sorry, for the clickbait title, but I just had to share something crazy that happened to us recently! We really did end up in the back of a police car.

Last month, on a Saturday, Blake and I were running around trying to get ready for a congregation get-together that we were organizing. There was so much to do that morning that I wasn't able to get in the shower until about 11:30, and we were supposed to meet the group to set up at 1. Blake was so helpful, and he ran out to the grocery store while I got myself dressed.

The Time We Ended Up In The Back of A Cop Car

Monday, January 13, 2020

Just about every year, I give an update on how I plan, and what planner I'm using. Obviously, I haven't been very content with my choices, because I've changed it up almost every single year! From a cheap TJ Maxx find, to a Lilly Pulitzer planner, I've tried Erin Condren weekly and a Simplified daily and weekly!

Last year, I went with the Simplified (a brand I love) weekly addition. Honestly, it was the perfect planner. I LOVED it. However, in the 2020 version, they removed the [very important to me] meal planning box in the layout. At the risk of sounding dramatic, that was a complete no-go for me. That was a main reason that system worked for me and a huge part of what I plan each week.

[I feel like I need to interject that these planners are like $50, so I'm not about to *make it work*. I want it to be perfect for that amount of money.]
